Co-Nanomet is a programme of activities addressing the need within Europe to develop the required measurement frame to successfully support the development and economic exploitation of nanotechnology.
The Versailles Project on Advanced Materials and Standards (VAMAS) was conceived in 1982 following an economic summit meeting held in Versailles by the "G7" Heads of State and representatives from the European Community (EC).
The main objective of VAMAS is to support trade in high technology products, through international collaborative projects aimed at providing the technical basis for drafting codes of practice and specifications for advanced materials.
